Not automatically. Our lightweight rebated concrete gravel boards have a specific rebated profile, so the existing posts, supports and fence arrangement must be designed to accept that profile.
Not automatically. A lightweight rebated concrete gravel board should only replace another board where the existing fencing system is compatible with its rebated profile. Matching the nominal length and height is not enough on its own.
Our Lightweight 12 Inch Rebated Concrete Gravel Board measures 1.83m long, 305mm high and approximately 45 to 55mm deep. The 6 inch version is also 1.83m long and approximately 45 to 55mm deep, but is 150mm high.
Both are steel reinforced and vibration finished. Their lightweight construction is intended to make the concrete component more manageable to position, but the defining compatibility detail is the rebate.
A rebated board should therefore not be treated as a universal substitute for a smooth or recessed concrete gravel board. When replacing an existing component, identify the profile already used by the posts and supporting arrangement before ordering.
