This lightweight 12 inch rebated concrete gravel board is made for fencing builds where you want a strong base and a neat fit at ground level. It sits beneath the fence panels, helping to keep timber clear of damp soil and reducing splashback onto the bottom of the panel. The rebated profile is intended to work cleanly with compatible fence setups, giving a more finished line at the base.

Our concrete gravel boards are web cast and steel reinforced, then vibration finished. They are roughly 45mm thick, which helps them cope with knocks and daily wear along the boundary. Concrete gravel boards are often chosen for gardens where the ground stays wet, where fences run beside lawns and paths, or where you want a tougher alternative to timber at the bottom of the fence.

The 12 inch height offers substantial coverage and can help reduce gaps under panels, particularly where the ground undulates. It is also useful if you want to protect the lower part of the fence from soil and debris build-up. For sloping gardens, stepping boards and panels in sections is usually the best approach, keeping each bay level and the overall run looking sharper.

Before you buy, check your post type and how your fence is designed to be fixed. Rebated boards are normally chosen to suit specific arrangements, so confirming compatibility avoids headaches on installation day. With concrete fence posts, boards often slot into grooves. With timber fence posts, boards are typically fixed between posts using suitable fixings and support. Concrete boards are heavier than timber, so consider access and handling on longer runs.
