Double Slatted Fence Panels
Double slatted fence panels provide a clean, contemporary finish for garden boundaries, patios and seating areas. Their horizontal timber slats create a modern appearance while offering more screening than standard open slatted fencing.
East Coast Fencing supplies pressure treated, framed double slatted fence panels in a standard 6ft width. Choose from 3ft, 4ft, 5ft and 6ft heights to suit decorative garden divisions, mid-height boundaries and full-height privacy fencing.
Contemporary Slatted Fence Panels
The straight horizontal lines make double slatted panels a strong choice for modern gardens and landscaped outdoor spaces. They work particularly well alongside patios, garden rooms and seating areas where the fence forms a visible part of the overall design.
The framed construction gives each panel a neat, finished edge. Double slatted fencing can be used for a complete boundary or as a feature section alongside simpler fence panels.
Privacy and Airflow
Double slatted fence panels are designed to provide useful garden screening without creating the completely solid face of closeboard or waney lap fencing. The arrangement of the slats helps reduce direct views through the boundary while still allowing some light and airflow.
This makes them well suited to patios, outdoor seating areas and contemporary garden boundaries where appearance and privacy are both important. For a more open design with greater airflow, consider hit and miss fence panels.
Double Slatted Fence Panel Heights
Three-foot double slatted panels create a low decorative boundary for patios, paths and internal garden divisions. 4ft fence panels provide more separation while keeping the garden relatively open.
Five-foot panels offer a useful balance of screening and height, while 6ft fence panels are the best option within the range for rear gardens and boundaries where greater privacy is required.
Remember that a gravel board fitted below the panel will increase the total visible height of the completed fence.
Pressure Treated Timber Panels
Our double slatted fence panels are pressure treated for outdoor use, helping protect the timber against rot and fungal decay. Pressure treatment provides more lasting protection than a surface coating alone and means the panels do not require immediate treatment before installation.
Timber is a natural material, so differences in grain, knots and colour are expected. The appearance will also change gradually as the panels are exposed to sunlight and weather.
Double Slatted or Omega Lattice Panels?
Double slatted panels have a straight, contemporary design and provide consistent horizontal screening across the full panel. They are generally best suited to modern gardens and customers looking for a simple, structured finish.
Omega lattice fence panels combine a solid lower section with a curved lattice top. They offer a softer, more traditional decorative appearance and allow additional light through the upper part of the boundary.
Double Slatted or Traditional Fence Panels?
Double slatted panels are chosen mainly for their modern design and balance of screening and airflow. They provide a more decorative finish than standard garden fencing and can be used as a visible feature within the landscape.
For a fully solid, traditional boundary, closeboard fence panels provide a heavier construction and greater privacy. Waney lap fence panels are a more economical option for general-purpose garden fencing.
Complete Your Slatted Fencing
