The 6FT x 4FT Framed Contemporary Double Slatted Panel is a 1200mm-high decorative panel intended for boundaries that need more screening than a low garden divider without moving to a full-height fence. Its horizontal slatted design works particularly well beside patios, seating areas and modern landscaping where a conventional solid panel may feel too heavy.
Manufactured in Poland and imported by East Coast Fencing, this panel is made at a true 6ft (1.828m) width. That differs from many imported decorative panels supplied at 1.8m. The extra 28mm brings it into line with the traditional UK 6ft panel format, which is useful when the new panel needs to sit within a standard-width fencing layout. Always confirm the clear bay before ordering if the posts are already installed.
The 45mm-deep panel uses a 45 x 45mm outer frame and semi-planed timber. Horizontal 8 x 45mm battens are arranged on both faces with gaps of roughly 40mm. Those openings are part of the design, so this should be viewed as a screened decorative panel rather than a privacy panel. At 1200mm high it gives a stronger sense of enclosure than the 900mm version, while still allowing views, light and airflow through the slats.
The timber is pressure treated green/natural. When setting out a new run, keep the fence posts plumb and the bay widths consistent so the horizontal lines remain level from panel to panel. Do not install the timber directly into soil. If you want a separate base below the panel, compare the available gravel boards and allow their height when working out the finished fence level.
This 1200mm panel is the middle ground between a low feature boundary and taller screening. The double slatted fence panels range includes 900mm, 1500mm and 1800mm alternatives, while the wider decorative fence panels category covers designs with different levels of screening.
