Standard Delivery Areas & Postcodes
Our own fleet delivers across London, Essex, Kent and the surrounding counties, supplying fence panels, posts, gravel boards and gates direct to homes and trade customers. Standard delivery is available to the following postcode areas: AL, BN, BR, CB, CM, CO, CR, CT, DA, E, EN, GU, HA, HP, IG, IP, KT, LE15–LE16, LU, ME, MK, N, NN, NR, NW, OX, PE1–PE19, PE26–PE38, PO1–PO29, RG, RH, RM, SE, SG, SL, SM, SS, SW, TN, TW, UB, W, WD.
Our standard delivery area covers Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, East Sussex, Essex, Greater London, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Surrey and West Sussex.
If you are based in or around key towns and cities such as Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich, Norwich, Milton Keynes, Luton, Reading, Guildford, Brighton, Crawley or Maidstone, or elsewhere within our Greater London delivery area, check the postcode list above to confirm whether your address is covered by our standard delivery service.
Our standard delivery lead time can vary depending on seasonal demand, stock availability and delivery routes. The most accurate delivery timeframe will always be shown at checkout before you place your order.
Extended Delivery for Large Fencing Orders
For larger projects and bulk fencing orders over £1,200 including VAT, we can extend our delivery area to reach more of the Midlands and surrounding regions. Extended delivery is available for qualifying orders into the following postcode areas: B, CV, DE, DY, GL, LN, NG, PE, SN, SO, SP, WR, WS, WV, LE.
This extended service allows us to supply palletised fencing orders into parts of Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Wiltshire and Hampshire. Where possible, we may also be able to deliver to postcodes slightly outside these areas for larger orders, subject to route planning, vehicle availability and any additional delivery charges that may apply.
Please note that we do not offer a collection service for deliveries made in our extended delivery area. If you wish to return goods from one of these postcodes, this will need to be arranged by you at your own cost, in line with our returns policy.
Delivered by Our Own Fleet
All fencing orders are delivered using our own fleet of 3.5T vehicles wherever possible. Using smaller vehicles helps us access residential streets and tighter locations that larger lorries may struggle to reach. We regularly deliver to residential homes, commercial premises and trade sites throughout our service areas.
Our core service regions include Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, East Sussex, Essex, Greater London, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Surrey and West Sussex. For orders over £1,200 including VAT, delivery may be extended to nearby postcode sectors just beyond our usual boundary, depending on the size of the order and the delivery schedule for that route.
How Our Delivery Service Works
All deliveries are kerbside only. In practice, this usually means our drivers will place your fencing order on your front garden, driveway or another safe, accessible point close to the roadside. Our drivers are not permitted to carry goods through your property or into back gardens.
Deliveries typically take place between approximately 6.00am and 7.00pm. We may provide an estimated delivery time window, but this remains approximate and can be affected by traffic, access issues and other unforeseen factors. Once delivery has been made to the agreed kerbside location, responsibility for the order passes to the recipient.
Delivery Restrictions & Address Rules
To reduce the risk of fraud and ensure safe delivery, we are unable to deliver to non-standard or open locations such as car parks, docks, fields or allotments. Deliveries must be to recognisable residential or commercial addresses within our defined regions. If your postcode is not listed within our standard or extended delivery areas, we may not currently be able to deliver fencing to your address.
We are continually reviewing and expanding our logistics network, so our fencing delivery coverage across the UK may change over time. However, for the avoidance of doubt, if your postcode is not included in the postcode ranges shown above at checkout, we are unlikely to be able to supply delivery at this time.
Collection Policy
If you choose to collect your order instead of booking delivery, you must present photo ID and the original payment card used for the transaction when collecting your goods. This security step helps us protect customers against fraud. A copy of your ID will be securely retained for 60 days as part of our fraud-prevention processes. Where payment is made in-store by card or cash, photo ID is not required for collection.
Important Delivery Advisory
We work hard to maintain a high success rate for on-time deliveries across all of our service areas. However, fencing deliveries can occasionally be affected by factors beyond our control, such as extreme weather, road closures or other logistical issues. For this reason, we strongly advise that you do not pre-book installers, landscapers or other tradespeople until your fencing order has arrived and been checked.
East Coast Fencing cannot accept liability for any costs or losses arising from delayed deliveries or failed appointments with third-party contractors.
If you have any questions about delivery availability to your postcode, the delivery timeframe shown at checkout or access for our vehicles, please contact our customer support team before placing your order.
Please note that once an order has been placed, we are unable to change the delivery address. If you require delivery to a different address or to another area within our coverage (for example elsewhere in London, Essex, Kent, Suffolk or Surrey), a new order will need to be placed with the correct details at checkout.
