This 9ft (2.7m) concrete corner fence post is made for a right-angled change of direction. The 125 x 125mm post has slots on two adjacent faces so the two fence runs meet cleanly at one structural junction.
At 9ft overall, this is the longest corner post available. It is intended for demanding corner positions where the fence height, site level or required below-ground section needs more than the 2.4m offered by an 8ft post. Its extra length should be planned into both adjoining runs before excavation starts. Use this post only where two fence runs turn through a right angle. It is not a substitute for an intermediate post on a straight run or an end post at the final bay because the slot arrangement is different.
The larger 125mm section gives the corner a distinct physical presence. Allow for that section when measuring from nearby walls, gate openings or other fixed features so the finished fence lands where intended.
The 125mm square section is larger than the 100 x 100mm intermediate profile, giving the corner a substantial junction point where two fence lines meet. The post should be rotated correctly before setting because both adjoining fence lines depend on the two slots facing the intended directions. Suitable fence panels can then meet directly at the corner.
At 2.7m overall this is a substantial concrete component. It is wet cast around steel reinforcement, vibration finished to give three smooth sides out of four, and completed with a pyramid-shaped top. The portion below ground does not depend on preservative treatment because concrete does not rot in the way timber can at ground level.
Establish both fence lines before fixing the corner post, then check that each slot points exactly along its intended run. A small rotational error at the corner can make two bays difficult to align.
