The 6FT x 2FT Decorative Diamond Lattice Trellis is a deeper topper and climbing strip, measuring approximately 1.83m wide by 0.6m high. Its diagonal lattice creates the diamond pattern that distinguishes this range from our square and horizontal trellis styles, making it useful where the trellis itself is intended to contribute to the appearance of the boundary.
At 600mm high it gives climbing plants more space than the 1ft version and creates a more noticeable decorative band above a boundary while remaining relatively open. The timber is pressure treated in a green/natural finish for outdoor use. Natural variation in grain, knots and treatment colour should be expected, and the appearance will change gradually as the timber weathers.
The 2ft version gives twice the vertical lattice area of the 1ft panel and is therefore more useful for established climbers or a boundary that needs a stronger decorative top section. It also has more impact on the finished fence height, so measure the complete fence-and-trellis combination before ordering and make sure the supports are suitable for the extra exposed area.
The open diamond pattern can provide a framework for climbing plants, but it is not a solid privacy screen. Where privacy is the main objective, compare the closer openings in our privacy square trellis range. For decorative planting, allow stems room to be trained through the lattice and use ties where the plant does not attach by itself.
If fitting this panel above existing fencing, check the support posts and finished height before installation. Fix the trellis to sound structural timber or appropriate framing with exterior-grade fixings; do not rely solely on thin panel capping or damaged fence components. Other shallow options can be compared under fence topper trellis.
This diamond lattice range is supplied by East Coast Fencing but is not one of the trellis lines we manufacture ourselves. Browse all available sizes under diamond trellis, or compare the wider selection of trellis panels if you want a different opening pattern or screening level.
