The 6ft Concrete Intermediate Fence Post is a solid option for lower fence runs where you want a strong, low maintenance structure and a tidy finish. Our concrete posts are wet cast and steel reinforced, then vibration finished to give three smooth sides out of four. Each post has a decorative pyramid top, which finishes the run off neatly and helps shed water away from the end of the post.

This intermediate post is sized at 100 x 100mm and uses a slotted profile to accept fence panels. It also includes a built-in peg or shoulder inside the slot around 600mm from the bottom. That shoulder is designed to carry a concrete gravel board. It’s a simple feature that helps in real garden conditions. A gravel board supports the base of the fence, helps stop panels sinking over time, and makes it much easier to keep the top of the fence line level across a run.

You can fit panels directly into the post slot if you prefer, but many people choose a gravel board to lift timber clear of damp ground and reduce splashback. If you’re planning that build, see concrete gravel boards or browse gravel boards for the full range.

For a neat fence line, set out your corners and ends first, run a string line, and then place intermediate posts to that line. When choosing post length, allow for the visible fence height plus a sensible depth into the ground, as the footing is what keeps the fence stable. For all matching post types, browse concrete fence posts.
