The 6FT x 4FT Omega Lattice Decorative Fence Panel is a 1200mm-high-at-centre panel that combines moderate screening with a curved trellis top. The shoulders are approximately 1000mm high, so the profile rises by around 200mm towards the centre. That shape gives a garden boundary more visual interest than a straight-topped panel and should be allowed for when matching adjoining fencing.
Manufactured in Poland and imported by East Coast Fencing, this Omega panel is a true 6ft (1.828m) wide. That is the traditional UK panel width, rather than the 1.8m size often used for imported decorative fencing. The distinction is useful on replacement jobs because a 1.8m panel can be noticeably short in a bay originally set out for a 6ft panel. Measure the actual clear width before ordering to confirm the installation.
The 45mm-deep frame uses semi-planed timber with a 45 x 45mm section. Across the main body, 100 x 5mm grooved horizontal slats alternate between both faces to create a hit & miss screen. The upper section is an integrated curved diamond lattice approximately 300mm deep. It keeps the top of the fence more open and decorative while the lower boards provide the majority of the screening.
All timber is pressure treated green/natural for exterior use. Set the fence posts accurately so the shoulders line up cleanly between adjacent Omega panels; small changes in post level are more obvious on a repeated curved run than on a straight-topped fence. Keep the lower frame above soil, and if the installation uses a gravel board, include its height when establishing the centre and shoulder levels.
The 1200mm size is suited to boundaries where a decorative feature is wanted without the enclosure of a taller 1500mm or 1800mm panel. Compare the full range at Omega lattice fence panels, or view alternative designs in decorative fence panels.
