These John George Flush Head 150mm Screws are supplied in a box of 50 for landscaping and other jobs involving substantial timber sections. The 150mm length gives considerably more reach than a general-purpose fixing, making this pack useful where the screw needs to pass through one thick timber member and still achieve meaningful purchase in the timber behind it.

The screws are manufactured from hardened steel and finished with a green organic coating. The supplied product specification states that the coating has been tested to 1,000 hours of salt spray resistance. A self-drilling point helps the screw start into timber, while the milling shank is designed to clear material as the fixing is driven. The flush head finishes close to the timber surface, which is useful where a prominent screw head would be undesirable.

The 150mm length can suit certain joints involving railway sleepers and other heavy landscaping timber, but screw length should always be chosen around the actual joint rather than the timber name alone. Check the combined thicknesses before fixing so enough of the threaded section enters the receiving piece without the point emerging from the far face. Near ends or edges, pre-drilling can still be sensible where splitting is a concern.

A driver bit is supplied with the box. The 50-pack is the more practical option for a larger landscaping build or repeated timber joints; for a repair or small one-off job, the same 150mm fixing is also available as a tube of 10. Other sizes and fixing types can be compared in our screws, fixings and fasteners range.
