This 6ft x 6ft Waney Lap Fence Panel is the full-height option when privacy is the main goal but you still want to keep the build budget friendly. It’s a common choice for rear boundaries and exposed side runs, especially when you’re replacing older overlap panels and want a like-for-like style that’s easy to fit in standard bays.

We manufacture these fence panels in-house at East Coast Fencing. They’re pressure treated for outdoor use and finished with a weather capping strip along the top edge to help shed rain. Waney lap is a traditional overlap style, using horizontal boards lapped over each other to give good coverage at a sensible price. It’s a straightforward, familiar panel that suits most UK garden layouts.

At 6ft high, a tidy run comes down to good setting out. Straight posts and consistent bay widths help keep the top line level and the fence looking sharp. Allow a small clearance so the panel drops in without forcing, and keep the bottom edge off the ground. If the boundary slopes, stepping the fence line is usually the best way to avoid panels touching down at one end while leaving gaps at the other.

This panel can be fitted with timber or concrete posts depending on the look and structure you prefer. If you’re choosing posts as part of the job, see our fence posts range, including wooden fence posts and concrete fence posts. For other matching heights, browse waney lap fence panels.

If you need full-height privacy and want a traditional overlap panel that keeps costs sensible, this 6ft x 6ft green waney lap panel is a strong choice.
