The 6FT x 5FT Decorative Diamond Lattice Trellis is a tall decorative lattice screen, measuring approximately 1.83m wide by 1.5m high. Its diagonal lattice creates the diamond pattern that distinguishes this range from our square and horizontal trellis styles, making it useful where the trellis itself is intended to contribute to the appearance of the boundary.
The 1.5m height is suited to larger climbing displays and open screening where the diamond pattern is intended to remain part of the visual design, even before plants cover it. The timber is pressure treated in a green/natural finish for outdoor use. Natural variation in grain, knots and treatment colour should be expected, and the appearance will change gradually as the timber weathers.
The 5ft size is aimed at taller screening and climbing displays. Compared with the 4ft version it gives another 300mm of vertical support, which can matter for vigorous plants or for screening a higher sight line. Compared with the full 6ft panel it leaves a less enclosed result, making it a useful compromise where height is needed but a full-height lattice would dominate the space.
The open diamond pattern can provide a framework for climbing plants, but it is not a solid privacy screen. Where privacy is the main objective, compare the closer openings in our privacy square trellis range. For decorative planting, allow stems room to be trained through the lattice and use ties where the plant does not attach by itself.
For taller screening or freestanding use, provide suitable posts or framing and support the panel edges properly. Set out multiple bays before fixing so the diamond pattern and panel tops remain visually consistent along the run.
