This 6ft x 4ft Round Top Picket Fence Panel is ideal when you want a taller picket fence that still feels open and welcoming. At 4ft high it gives a stronger boundary line than lower picket panels, which suits front garden runs, side boundaries, and internal dividers where you want definition without full privacy. The rounded tops give a softer finish that works well in family gardens and alongside informal planting.

The panel is pressure treated for outdoor use and built from thirteen 75 x 19mm picket pales fixed to two 75 x 32mm back rails. The pales are spaced at roughly 75mm, giving a consistent look along the run and letting light through the fence line. Because it isn’t solid, it avoids the heavy feel of boarded fencing while still providing a clear boundary.

For the best result, set posts straight and keep post centres consistent so fence panels sit comfortably without forcing. Keep a small clearance at the bottom and avoid letting soil build up against the timber. On sloping ground, stepping the fence usually keeps the finish tidier than trying to follow the slope in one line.

This panel can be used with timber or concrete posts. If you’re choosing posts for the job, see our fence posts range, including wooden fence posts and concrete fence posts. For matching heights and styles, browse our picket fence panels.

With its rounded tops and neat spacing, this 6ft x 4ft picket panel gives a smart, traditional finish that defines the boundary without closing the garden in.
