The 6FT x 4FT Point Top Picket Fence Panel - Pressure Treated Green/Natural provides the strongest boundary presence of the point-top picket sizes while keeping the characteristic open spacing between pales. It measures 1830mm wide and 1200mm high. The pointed heads give the fence a traditional, defined top line, while the 4ft nominal height suits situations where a 2ft or 3ft picket fence would feel too low but privacy screening is not required.
East Coast Fencing manufactures the panel from 13 timber picket pales, each 75mm wide, fixed to two 75 x 32mm horizontal backrails. The approximate 70mm gaps between pales keep views and light moving through the boundary. The panel therefore should not be treated as a privacy product despite its greater height. Pressure treatment prepares the timber for exterior use and the green/natural finish leaves a lighter treated-timber appearance.
The 1200mm height means a straight, consistent installation is particularly noticeable. Check the actual 1830mm width before marking post centres and use a string line to keep a longer run aligned. Keep the pale ends away from accumulated soil and select exterior fixings appropriate to the chosen posts. An all-timber structure can use wooden fence posts, with suitable hardware available within screws, fixings and fasteners. Stepped installation is usually the cleaner approach when levels change across the site.
This version is best where the fence should be clearly substantial yet remain visibly open. For lower boundaries, compare the 600mm and 900mm alternatives in our picket fence panels range. Where access is needed in the same run, a suitable picket gate can be incorporated, with the gate opening planned before adjacent posts are fixed.
