The 6FT x 4FT Point Top Picket Fence Panel - Pressure Treated Brown is the tallest point-top picket panel in this category, measuring 1830mm wide by 1200mm high. It gives a boundary considerably more presence than the 2ft and 3ft versions while retaining an open picket layout. The pointed pale tops reinforce the traditional character of the fence and make this version suitable where a strong visual boundary is wanted without moving to a fully boarded privacy panel.
Manufactured by East Coast Fencing, every panel is assembled from 13 timber picket pales, each 75mm wide, across two 75 x 32mm backrails. The approximate 70mm gaps between pales remain visible even at the 1200mm height, so this is still an open boundary rather than a privacy fence. The timber is pressure treated for outdoor use and supplied with a brown finish. Its overall panel depth is listed at approximately 50mm.
Because this is the tallest picket panel in the range, accurate post alignment and secure fixing become more visually important. Measure the actual 1830mm width before setting posts, keep each post plumb and avoid placing the ends of the timber pales directly into soil. Suitable wooden fence posts provide a traditional all-timber structure; where different post materials are being considered, compare the wider fence posts range. On uneven ground, plan steps in advance so adjacent 1200mm panels do not develop an erratic top line.
Choose the 4ft point-top panel when the boundary needs to feel more substantial but the project still benefits from light and visibility between the pales. If the objective is screening, a solid design from the wider fence panels range is more appropriate. Other picket heights and round-top variants can be compared under picket fence panels.
