This 6ft x 3ft Round Top Picket Fence Panel is a straightforward way to create a smart boundary line without blocking light. At 3ft high it’s a great fit for front gardens, side paths, and low dividing fences where you want a bit more presence than a 2ft panel. The round top finish gives a softer look than pointed pickets, which works well in family gardens and more relaxed settings.
The panel is pressure treated for outdoor use and built from thirteen 75 x 19mm picket pales fixed to two 75 x 32mm back rails. The pales are spaced at roughly 75mm, giving a consistent picket rhythm along the run and plenty of visibility through the fence. It’s a good choice where you want definition without the fence feeling heavy or dominant.
Because picket fencing is open, it keeps sight lines clear around entrances and driveways and allows airflow through the boundary. On exposed sites, that can be a practical benefit. If you’re fitting along a slope, picket panels are usually easy to step neatly, helping you keep the top line tidy and avoid large gaps at the base.
Keep the bottom edge clear of the ground and avoid letting soil or gravel build up against the timber over time. Set out the run carefully so post centres are consistent, which makes fitting easier and helps the finished fence look sharper.
This fencing panel can be used with timber or concrete posts. If you’re choosing posts at the same time, see our fence posts, including wooden fence posts and concrete fence posts. For matching heights and styles, browse our picket fence panels.
Installed level with a small clearance at the base, this 6ft x 3ft round top panel gives a tidy, traditional finish that keeps the garden feeling open.
