The 6FT x 3FT Round Top Picket Fence Panel - Pressure Treated Green/Natural is a 1830mm-wide by 900mm-high open timber panel with rounded pale tops. It suits boundaries that need more definition than very low decorative fencing while still keeping the garden visually connected to the area beyond. The round top creates a softer profile than pointed pickets, which can work particularly well alongside informal planting or where the fence should not dominate the front of a property.
This panel is manufactured by East Coast Fencing from 13 individual 75mm-wide picket pales attached to two 75 x 32mm backrails. Gaps between the pales are approximately 70mm, giving the run a regular open pattern. The spacing means the panel allows views through it and is not intended to provide privacy. The timber is pressure treated and supplied in a green/natural finish, making the grain and treated-timber appearance more visually prominent than on the brown version.
Set the fence out using the panel's actual 1830mm width and check the complete run before installing posts. Leaving the bottom of the pales clear of soil reduces unnecessary direct ground contact. Suitable wooden fence posts can keep the installation entirely timber, while exterior fixings can be chosen from screws, fixings and fasteners. If the boundary is stepped, keep each individual panel level and make the height changes at the posts.
At 900mm high, this panel sits between the low 600mm and taller 1200mm picket options. That makes it useful when the fence should be clearly present but still open. Compare the alternatives in our picket fence panels range, and consider a suitable picket gate if the run also needs pedestrian access.
