This 6ft x 3ft Round Top Picket Fence Panel is a neat way to define a boundary while keeping the garden feeling open and welcoming. At 3ft high it gives a bit more presence than a 2ft panel, making it a good choice for front gardens, side returns, and low dividing lines where you want structure without full privacy. The round top finish gives a softer look that suits family gardens and more informal settings.

The panel is pressure treated for outdoor use and built from thirteen 75 x 19mm picket pales fixed to two 75 x 32mm back rails. The pales are spaced at roughly 75mm apart, giving a consistent picket pattern along the run and plenty of visibility through the fence line. Because the fence is open, it doesn’t dominate planting and works nicely as a backdrop to borders and shrubs.

Picket fencing is also practical. It keeps sight lines open around entrances and driveways and allows air through, which can help on exposed boundaries. At 3ft high it gives a clear boundary line but still feels lighter than solid fence panels, which many people prefer at the front of a property.

For the best finish, set posts straight and keep bay sizes consistent so panels sit neatly without forcing. Keep a small clearance at the bottom and avoid letting soil build up against the timber. On sloping ground, stepping the run tends to give a cleaner look than trying to follow the ground with one long line.

This panel can be used with timber or concrete posts depending on the look you want. If you need posts for the job, see our fence posts range, including wooden fence posts and concrete fence posts. For other heights and top styles, browse our picket fence panels.

With its rounded tops and traditional spacing, this 6ft x 3ft picket panel gives a smart, friendly boundary that looks right in most UK front gardens.
