The 6FT x 2FT Round Top Picket Fence Panel - Pressure Treated Brown provides a low, open fence line with a softer top profile than a pointed picket panel. At 1830mm wide and 600mm high, it is suited to front gardens, paths, borders and other places where a boundary needs to be obvious without screening the space behind it. The rounded pale heads reduce the visual sharpness of the fence and give the finished run a simple, traditional garden appearance.

This panel is manufactured by East Coast Fencing from 13 timber picket pales, each 75mm wide, fixed to two 75 x 32mm backrails. The pales are set with gaps of approximately 70mm. That spacing allows light and views through the fence and makes this a boundary panel rather than a privacy product. Pressure treatment is applied for exterior use and this version has a brown finish, making it straightforward to coordinate with other brown-treated fencing timber.

When setting out a run, use the actual 1830mm panel width to establish post positions and check the complete length before digging or fixing. A small clearance beneath the pales is preferable to resting the timber directly in wet soil. If an all-timber appearance is wanted, see our wooden fence posts; suitable exterior fixings are available within screws, fixings and fasteners. Where ground levels change, stepping the 600mm panels from bay to bay can keep both the top line and ground clearance more controlled.

Choose this round-top 2ft panel when openness and a softer outline matter more than privacy or height. Taller round-top and point-top options can be compared in our picket fence panels category. If the boundary includes an entrance, consider the position of a matching-style picket gate before finalising post centres so the gate is incorporated into the layout cleanly.
