The 6FT x 2FT Point Top Picket Fence Panel - Pressure Treated Green/Natural is designed for low garden boundaries where the fence needs to be visible and deliberate without becoming a solid visual barrier. Measuring 1830mm wide by 600mm high, it works well along front gardens, path edges and low dividing lines. The pointed tops give the fence a traditional, slightly more pronounced outline than the round-top version while the open layout keeps planting and views visible through the boundary.
East Coast Fencing manufactures this panel using 13 individual timber pales, each 75mm wide, secured to two 75 x 32mm backrails. Spacing between the pales is approximately 70mm. This regular spacing is what gives the panel its open picket character, so customers needing privacy or a closed screen should choose a different style of fence panel. The timber is pressure treated and supplied in a green/natural finish, which retains a lighter treated-timber appearance than the brown alternative.
For installation, establish the line of the fence first and measure each bay before fixing posts permanently. The 1830mm width should be treated as the actual panel dimension when setting out. Keep the lower ends of the pales away from direct soil contact where practical and use fixings suitable for external timber. Our wooden fence posts suit an all-timber build, while the wider fence posts range allows the supporting structure to be chosen around the site and preferred finish.
This 600mm-high version is best where the fence is primarily defining an edge rather than creating separation at waist or chest height. For a more substantial open boundary, the same point-top style is available in taller sizes within our picket fence panels range. Plan any gateway at the same time as the panel run so post positions and the chosen gate opening are accounted for before installation begins.
