The 6FT x 2FT Point Top Picket Fence Panel - Pressure Treated Brown is a low, open boundary panel for front gardens, paths, lawns and other areas where a clear edge is wanted without using solid fencing. The panel is 1830mm wide and 600mm high, with the pointed pale tops giving the run a sharper, more traditional picket profile. At this height it defines a boundary while keeping views across the garden largely open, so it is especially useful where a taller fence would feel unnecessary.
Manufactured by East Coast Fencing, each panel is built from 13 timber picket pales, each 75mm wide, fixed across two 75 x 32mm horizontal backrails. The gaps between the pales are approximately 70mm, creating the familiar open picket pattern rather than a privacy screen. That construction is important when choosing the panel: it is intended to mark and organise a boundary, not to block sight lines. The timber is pressure treated and supplied with a brown finish for customers wanting a warmer, darker appearance from installation.
Before setting posts, measure the actual panel and plan the complete run rather than relying only on nominal 6ft centres. Keeping the panel slightly clear of soil helps avoid unnecessary ground contact at the bottom of the pales. On a slope, stepping individual panels generally produces a neater result than forcing a rigid panel to follow changing ground levels.
