Measuring 1.83m x 1.5m, the 1.83M x 1.5M Traditional Square Trellis Panel - Pressure Treated Green/Natural uses the familiar open square pattern associated with traditional garden trellis. The approximate 100mm openings give climbing plants a practical framework while allowing considerably more light and visibility through the panel than a close privacy lattice.
The 1.5m height gives vigorous climbers a useful vertical framework and creates a strong boundary feature while still allowing views, air and light through. It suits planting-led screening where foliage will provide much of the eventual cover. This panel is manufactured by East Coast Fencing from 16 x 38mm rough sawn trellis batten and pressure treated for outdoor use. We deliberately use a fencing-grade rough sawn finish, so buyers should expect natural timber texture rather than smooth planed joinery.
The 1.5m panel is aimed at taller planting and more pronounced garden division. It is a useful choice when the support needs to extend well above shrubs or low planting but you still want views and daylight through the boundary. Compared with the full-height 1.83m version, it leaves a little more openness and can sit more comfortably in areas where a six-foot screen would feel overbearing.
The green/natural treatment protects the timber for outdoor use while leaving its underlying grain and character easy to see. Freshly treated sections can vary in shade and will change naturally after installation as the panel is exposed to weather.
For a taller installation, use adequate posts or framing and keep the panel edges supported. The open lattice will pass more wind than a solid panel, but a large trellis still presents a significant exposed area once climbing plants become established, so the supporting structure matters.
