The 1.83M x 0.9M Traditional Square Trellis Panel - Pressure Treated Brown is an open half-height trellis panel, measuring 1.83m wide by 0.9m high. Its approximate 100mm square openings create a classic, open lattice that is well suited to climbing plants and decorative boundary work where daylight and airflow are more important than close privacy screening.
We manufacture this traditional square trellis at East Coast Fencing from pressure-treated 16 x 38mm rough sawn trellis batten. A 900mm panel is useful for garden zoning, supporting climbing plants and creating a permeable screen around patios or planting areas. It is high enough to define an area clearly without behaving like a solid fence. Rough sawn timber has a visibly textured surface, so natural knots, grain, saw marks and small variations are part of the product rather than a smooth planed finish.
The 900mm format is useful when the panel itself needs to define an area. It can sit between posts around planting, form an open divider or provide a generous climbing frame. Its larger squares make it unsuitable for close visual screening, but they are useful where you want plant stems to pass through easily and want the garden to remain visually connected.
Its brown-treated finish is useful where the trellis needs to coordinate with darker fencing, posts or garden timber. The treatment is there for outdoor protection rather than to create a uniform painted surface, so knots, grain, treatment marks and gradual weathering should be expected.
The larger squares give stems room to pass through and make tying or training climbers straightforward. They also mean the panel remains visually open when plants are sparse or dormant.
