The 1.83M x 0.75M Slatted Trellis - Pressure Treated Brown is an intermediate-height slatted screen, measuring 1.83m wide by 0.75m high. Instead of a square lattice, the battens run horizontally to give the panel a strong linear appearance and a different style of filtered screening.
East Coast Fencing manufactures this slatted trellis from pressure-treated rough sawn timber. The 750mm size sits between conventional 600mm and 900mm panels, which can be useful where those standard heights do not suit the finished boundary. It gives a stronger screening effect than a shallow topper without becoming a full-height panel. The surface is intentionally textured rather than smooth planed, so knots, saw marks, grain and small natural variations remain visible.
The 750mm height exists for projects that fall awkwardly between standard 600mm and 900mm choices. That difference can be useful when matching a neighbouring boundary, screening a particular sight line or working to a planned finished height. Measure the whole arrangement before ordering, including the fence below, rather than choosing the trellis height in isolation.
The brown pressure treatment gives the timber a darker, warmer appearance that sits naturally alongside brown-treated fencing. Pressure treatment is applied for exterior use and improves the timber’s resistance to decay compared with untreated wood; the colour will still weather and vary naturally outdoors.
The horizontal format can support climbing plants, but it is also useful where the trellis itself is intended to be seen as part of the garden design. Fix plant growth as required rather than assuming every climber will naturally attach to horizontal timber. You can compare all sizes in our horizontal slatted trellis range.
When fitting above a fence, support the trellis from sound posts or suitable framing and use exterior-grade fixings. Check the finished height before work begins and remember that adding trellis increases the exposed area of the boundary. Other low-height designs are available under fence topper trellis.
