At 1.83m wide and 0.3m high, the 1.83M x 0.3M Privacy Square Trellis - Pressure Treated Green/Natural is designed for customers who want a closer lattice than traditional trellis while retaining an open timber structure. Its approximate 50mm square pattern reduces direct sight lines and gives climbing plants plenty of points to weave through.
It adds a narrow band of tighter lattice above a boundary without increasing the visual weight as much as a taller trellis. This size is useful when the aim is to soften the top of a fence, support light climbing growth or make the boundary feel less exposed while retaining plenty of daylight. Because the timber is rough sawn, surface texture, saw marks, knots and grain variation are normal and should be expected rather than treated as defects.
The 300mm version is the one to choose when the existing fence is already close to the required finished height. It gives a compact screening strip without making the trellis the dominant part of the boundary. If you are deciding between 300mm and 450mm, the practical question is whether you mainly want a visual finish at the top or enough lattice depth for plants to establish across a more noticeable area.
The green/natural treatment protects the timber for outdoor use while leaving its underlying grain and character easy to see. Freshly treated sections can vary in shade and will change naturally after installation as the panel is exposed to weather.
For use as a topper, first check the condition and spacing of the existing fence supports.
