Will a 6ft Omega lattice panel line up with a 6ft straight-top fence panel?

Quick Answer

Not across the full top edge. Our 6ft Omega panel reaches 1800mm at the centre but is approximately 1600mm high at the shoulders, while a 6ft straight-top closeboard panel is 1800mm high across its width.

No. A 6ft Omega lattice panel and a 6ft straight-top panel can share the same nominal height description without producing the same top line.

The 6ft x 6ft Omega Lattice Panel reaches 1800mm at the centre of its curved top. At the shoulders, where the panel meets the posts, the height is approximately 1600mm.

A 6ft x 6ft Closeboard Fence Panel is 1800mm high across its straight top edge. If the two styles are installed beside one another at the same base level, the centre peak of the Omega reaches the same published height, but its sides finish approximately 200mm lower.

The Omega shape comes from an integrated curved diamond-lattice section approximately 300mm deep. It is therefore important to use both the centre and shoulder measurements when combining Omega panels with straight-top fencing.

The nominal 6ft label describes the maximum Omega height, not a continuous 1800mm line from one post to the other.
