At matching heights, our Double Slatted and Hit & Miss panels share the same 1.828m width, 45mm overall depth and 45 x 45mm frame, so they are dimensionally suited to the same nominal fence bay. Measure the existing opening before replacing either style.
At matching heights, our Double Slatted and Hit & Miss fence panels are dimensionally suited to the same nominal fence bay.
Both ranges are manufactured at a true UK 6ft width of 1.828m and have an overall depth of 45mm. They also use a 45 x 45mm semi-planed perimeter frame. Corresponding 3ft, 4ft, 5ft and 6ft versions therefore have matching published overall widths, heights and depths.
The construction inside the frame is different. Double Slatted panels use 8 x 45mm horizontal battens on both faces with approximately 40mm gaps. Hit & Miss panels use 100 x 5mm grooved horizontal slats alternating between the front and rear faces. Changing between them therefore alters the appearance and type of screening without requiring a different nominal panel width.
For example, both the 5ft Double Slatted panel and 5ft Hit & Miss panel are 1.828m wide, 1500mm high and 45mm deep.
An existing bay should still be measured before ordering. Installed post openings can vary, so matching catalogue dimensions should not replace checking the actual space available.
