The 1.2m x 75x19mm Point Top Picket Pale - Pressure Treated Brown is an individual 75 x 19mm timber pale for constructing a taller open picket fence with a more pronounced traditional pointed profile. Supplied at 1.2m long, it can be used for a new made-to-measure run or to replace individual pales in an existing fence without changing an otherwise serviceable section.

The extra 300mm compared with a 0.9m pale gives the boundary more presence while retaining the gaps that define picket fencing. It is useful when a low decorative fence would feel too slight but a solid panel would block more light and visibility than wanted.

Picket fencing is intentionally open. The spacing between pales controls how light, views and planting are seen through the boundary, so there is no single spacing that suits every project. Set the horizontal rails and wooden fence posts first, then use a repeatable spacer or measurement so the gaps remain consistent across the run. The pales should be fixed with suitable exterior-grade fixings for treated timber.

Brown pressure treatment combines exterior preservative treatment with a darker initial appearance. Because this is natural timber rather than a uniform manufactured surface, individual pieces can differ in grain, knots and shade and will continue to weather outdoors.

This loose-pale format is the better option when the run width, pale spacing or repair requirement does not suit a ready-made panel. If speed of installation and fixed panel dimensions are more important, compare our pre-assembled picket fence panels. Matching picket gates are also available where an access point needs to follow the same open style.

Choose the point-top version for the shape you want repeated across the fence line, then select the pale length around the intended finished boundary height. Other lengths, top profiles and treatment colours can be compared in the picket pales range.
