The 0.9m x 75x19mm Round Top Picket Pale - Pressure Treated Brown is an individual 75 x 19mm timber pale for constructing a low picket fence with a softer rounded top profile. Supplied at 0.9m long, it can be used for a new made-to-measure run or to replace individual pales in an existing fence without changing an otherwise serviceable section.
At 0.9m long, this pale creates a compact open boundary rather than a privacy screen. The rounded head gives the finished run a gentler appearance than a point-top fence and works particularly well where the fence is intended to frame planting rather than dominate it.
Picket fencing is intentionally open. The spacing between pales controls how light, views and planting are seen through the boundary, so there is no single spacing that suits every project. Set the horizontal rails and wooden fence posts first, then use a repeatable spacer or measurement so the gaps remain consistent across the run. The pales should be fixed with suitable exterior-grade fixings for treated timber.
This version is pressure treated with a brown finish, which gives freshly installed timber a warmer tone than green/natural treated material. Pressure treatment is there to protect the wood for outdoor use; normal knots, grain variation and gradual colour change should still be expected.
This loose-pale format is the better option when the run width, pale spacing or repair requirement does not suit a ready-made panel. If speed of installation and fixed panel dimensions are more important, compare our pre-assembled picket fence panels. Matching picket gates are also available where an access point needs to follow the same open style.
Choose the round-top version for the shape you want repeated across the fence line, then select the pale length around the intended finished boundary height. Other lengths, top profiles and treatment colours can be compared in the picket pales range.
