The 2.1m 100x47mm Wallplate - Pressure Treated Brown fills the gap between the common 1.8m and 2.4m wallplate lengths. Measuring 2.1m x 100 x 47mm, it is useful for repairs and bespoke framework where 1.8m will not reach but buying 2.4m would leave an avoidable 300mm offcut.
The intermediate length is particularly helpful when matching an existing timber member. Measure between the actual fixing or support points rather than relying on the nominal length of the component being removed, as old timber may have been cut on site when the structure was first built.
This brown-treated section is intended for exterior use and starts with a darker tone than green/natural treated timber. Natural grain, knots and treatment shade remain visible, so it should not be expected to look like a uniformly coated decorative product.
A wallplate may be fixed to timber, masonry or another suitable structure depending on the project, and each substrate requires the correct fixing method. The 100 x 47mm section does not by itself establish a safe span or fixing capacity, so the completed assembly still needs appropriate support.
Compare other lengths in fencing timber, and select compatible hardware from screws, fixings and fasteners once the substrate and fixing arrangement are known.
