The 1.83m x 75x32mm Fence Panel Backrail - Pressure Treated Green/Natural provides a 1.83m-long, 75 x 32mm timber support for the rear framework of compatible fence panels. Its job is to give the vertical boarding a secure horizontal fixing point; the rail itself normally sits behind the face of the finished panel rather than being the main visible element.

For repairs, match the rail size and layout to the panel already in place. A 75 x 32mm backrail is not automatically interchangeable with every fence-panel rail, and the surrounding boards need to be sound enough to refix. If the panel has widespread decay or several failed structural components, replacing the complete panel can be the more reliable option.

Green/natural pressure treatment gives the timber the familiar appearance of freshly treated fencing material and helps protect it for exterior use. Expect natural variation between pieces and gradual weathering once the timber is installed outdoors.

Keep the panel supported during repair, set the new rail level and use suitable exterior-grade fixings through the boards into the rail. The 1.83m length can be trimmed where necessary, but measure the actual panel width first rather than assuming every existing panel is exactly the same size.

Browse square rails for loose rail components. For complete replacements, compare closeboard fence panels or the broader fence panels range before deciding whether rebuilding the existing panel is worthwhile.
