The 1.83m x 45x16mm Fence Capping - Pressure Treated Green/Natural measures 1.83m x 45 x 16mm and is used to finish the upper edge of compatible timber fencing. Adding capping creates a cleaner, continuous top line and places a separate treated timber piece over the exposed panel edge rather than leaving the boards and framework visually unfinished.

The 1.83m length suits standard-width fencing but should still be measured against the actual bay before fixing. Existing fences can vary, and repairs or shortened bays may need the capping trimmed. It is easier to achieve an even result if adjoining pieces are planned across the whole run before the first section is fixed.

Green/natural pressure treatment gives the timber the familiar appearance of freshly treated fencing material and helps protect it for exterior use. Expect natural variation between pieces and gradual weathering once the timber is installed outdoors.

Because the section is only 16mm deep, select fixings that secure it without unnecessarily splitting the timber. Capping is not designed to provide the main strength of the fence, so any failed backrails, posts or panels should be repaired before this finishing piece is added.

The green/natural finish matches similarly treated fencing timber. Browse the panel capping category for capping options, or compare closeboard fence panels and other fence panels if the project involves replacing complete panels rather than finishing an existing one.
