The 1.83m x 38x16mm Trellis Batten - Pressure Treated Green/Natural provides a 1.83m x 38 x 16mm piece of treated timber for trellis repairs, bespoke lattice and lightweight garden screening. It is particularly useful when only individual battens are damaged, because the affected sections can be replaced without automatically changing the whole trellis panel.

The 38 x 16mm profile is intentionally much lighter than a fence rail. Use it to form the repeated pieces within a supported trellis design, not as the main structural support for a fence. Before a repair, measure the existing timber section and check how it is fixed; different trellis products can use different layouts even when the overall panel dimensions are similar.

The green/natural pressure-treated finish keeps the appearance close to freshly treated timber while providing preservative protection for exterior use. Treatment colour, knots and grain will vary naturally, and the initial green tone will mellow with exposure.

At 1.83m long, one batten provides useful material for full-width or cut-down sections. Mark the pattern before assembly, keep repeated gaps consistent and use exterior fixings suitable for the timber thickness. A finished trellis should be fixed back to sound posts, framing or another suitable support rather than relying on the battens themselves for structural stability.

Browse timber battens for loose components or trellis panels if buying a complete panel is more practical. Customers wanting a denser ready-made lattice can also compare our privacy square trellis range.
