At 1.5m high, it is suited to areas where a stronger visual break is wanted without fully closing the garden off. The rough sawn surface is a practical part of the product and will show normal timber characteristics such as knots, grain changes and saw texture.
At 1.5m high, this is a tall screen rather than a conventional fence topper. It is useful where the slatted appearance needs to cover most of the sight line but some openness is still wanted. Compared with the full-height version it can reduce the sense of enclosure, particularly when used around patios or within the garden rather than directly on a perimeter boundary.
This version uses a green/natural pressure treatment rather than a brown finish. That makes it a good match for similarly treated posts and fencing timber, but it should not be expected to look like a uniform painted product; treatment marks, knots and gradual weathering are normal.
If several panels are being used as a screen, set out the support positions first so adjoining edges are properly fixed. Keep the horizontal lines level from bay to bay, as small differences become more obvious across a longer run.
