The 0.9m x 125x22mm 2EX Feather Edge Board - Pressure Treated Green/Natural is a short 900mm vertical board for low closeboard fencing and local repairs. Its 125 x 22mm 2EX feather edge profile is tapered so neighbouring boards can overlap, allowing a solid timber face to be built one board at a time rather than relying on a pre-assembled panel.
This length is most useful when the existing fence is already low or when a new garden division is intended to define an area without creating a tall screen. For repair work, compare the old board length and profile before ordering; replacing one short board with a taller piece only to cut most of it away adds work and waste.
Fix the boards vertically to a suitable rail system and use a repeatable overlap so the face remains consistent. A string line across the tops is useful on low fencing because small changes in height are easy to see. If the chosen construction uses profiled rails, suitable cant rails are available separately.
Green/natural pressure treatment gives the timber the familiar appearance of freshly treated fencing material and helps protect it for exterior use. Expect natural variation between pieces and gradual weathering once the timber is installed outdoors.
Where the bottom of the fencing is close to soil, a separate wooden gravel board can form the lowest replaceable timber component. For a new run, set out the posts and rails before calculating board quantities rather than treating the 0.9m board length as the only dimension that matters.
The feather edge boards range includes longer green/natural and brown variants if this size is too short. For quantity planning on a complete closeboard run, use our feather edge fence calculator and then check the result against the actual site layout.
