No. Our gate post has a 150 x 150mm section, while the larger drive-in spike and bolt-down support in our range are sized for 100 x 100mm posts. The dimensions do not match.
No. A 150 x 150mm gate post is too large for a post support designed around a 100 x 100mm timber section.
Our 3.0m gate post measures 150 x 150mm. It is a substantially larger timber section intended specifically for gate installations.
By comparison, the 100 x 100mm drive-in fence spike has a holder sized for a compatible 100 x 100mm wooden post. Our 100mm bolt-down support is likewise made around a 100 x 100mm post section. Smaller 75 x 75mm versions are also available.
The socket size of a post support must therefore be matched to the timber section. A support described as 100mm should not be treated as a general-purpose fitting for a larger 150mm gate post.
Compare the available sizes under fence post spikes and supports. Our 150mm square products are listed separately under gate posts because they form a different post specification.
