When should diamond lattice trellis be used as a fence topper rather than a screen?

Quick Answer

Our 300mm and 600mm diamond lattice panels are primarily suited to fence-top use, while the 900mm and taller versions can form more substantial open screens or garden dividers.

The intended role changes as the diamond lattice becomes taller. Our shallow panels are primarily fence toppers, while the deeper sizes provide enough lattice area to work as open screens or garden dividers.

The 6ft x 1ft Diamond Lattice Trellis is approximately 300mm high and is described as a shallow decorative topper. The 600mm, or 2ft, version provides a deeper decorative band and more climbing area while still working naturally above fencing.

At 900mm high, the 6ft x 3ft Diamond Lattice Trellis can function as a partial screen or open garden divider rather than only as a topper. The 1.2m, 1.5m and full 1.8m versions continue that progression into increasingly substantial open screens.

The pattern remains open at every height. A taller diamond panel provides more screening area, but it does not become a solid privacy fence simply because its overall height increases.

Compare the complete range under diamond trellis, or use fence topper trellis when the project specifically requires a shallow section above existing fencing.
