The Perry Gate Furniture Pack combines the main fittings needed to hang and operate a compatible timber garden gate in one set. The pack contains a pair of 450mm tee hinges, a 150mm ring latch and a Brenton padlockable bolt, covering the gate pivot, everyday latch and an additional lockable fastening.
This makes the pack useful when fitting a new garden gate and you want the visible operating hardware to be selected as a set rather than sourcing hinges, latch and bolt separately. It can also be used when refurbishing an existing gate, provided the gate construction and condition are suitable for the supplied fittings.
The 450mm tee hinges spread their fixing points along the gate face, while the ring latch provides the normal opening and closing action. The Brenton bolt adds a separate sliding fastening and can accept a compatible padlock where restricted access is required. The bolt is supplementary security rather than a substitute for hanging the gate correctly and keeping the hinges and latch aligned.
Before fitting, check the gate is square, sound and appropriately supported. Hang and adjust the gate first, then mark the latch and bolt positions with the gate resting naturally in the closed position. Use exterior fixings suitable for the timber and for the holes in the individual components.
