Our pre-assembled picket fence panels use approximately 70mm gaps between 75mm-wide pales. That spacing is the useful reference when building a bespoke run to resemble our ready-made panels.

Our 1830mm-wide picket fence panels are manufactured with 13 pales, each 75mm wide, fixed across two 75 x 32mm horizontal backrails. The gaps between the pales are approximately 70mm, creating the regular open pattern seen across the range.
Individual picket pales are available for custom fencing and repairs, including 75 x 19mm point-top and round-top profiles. When the overall run or individual bay is a different width from a pre-assembled panel, the approximately 70mm gap is more useful as an appearance reference than simply trying to force exactly 13 pales into every section.
Measure the actual width being filled and keep the chosen spacing consistent across the run. This allows a made-to-measure fence to retain proportions similar to our manufactured picket panels even when the finished bay width is different.
