Individual picket pales provide more flexibility for non-standard widths. Our complete panels are fixed at 1830mm wide, while loose 75 x 19mm pales let the fence be arranged around the actual run or bay width.
For a non-standard-width fence, individual picket pales provide more flexibility than a complete pre-assembled panel.
Our picket fence panels are 1830mm wide. Each panel contains 13 pales, each 75mm wide, with approximately 70mm gaps and two 75 x 32mm horizontal backrails. That fixed construction is useful where the boundary suits standard-width panel bays.
Loose picket pales use a 75 x 19mm section and are available with point-top or round-top profiles. Because the pales are installed individually, the finished fence does not have to reproduce an 1830mm panel width. The number of pales and their spacing can instead be planned around the actual section being filled.
If the aim is to resemble our manufactured panels, the approximately 70mm gap provides a useful spacing reference. A bespoke run can maintain similar proportions without forcing exactly 13 pales into every bay.
Choose complete panels where their 1830mm width suits the layout. Choose loose pales where the finished width needs to be controlled around the actual boundary.
