The Green Pressure Treated 0.6m x 0.9m Point Top Picket Gate is a low, open timber gate for paths, front gardens and decorative boundaries where access is needed without blocking the view through the fence. It measures 600mm high by 900mm wide and is manufactured by East Coast Fencing with a traditional point top profile.
This is the lowest green/natural point top gate in the range, so it is best viewed as part of a decorative low boundary rather than a privacy or security gate. The open picket layout allows planting and the garden beyond to remain visible, while the pointed pale tops give the entrance a more defined outline than the round top version. It can be matched with compatible picket fence panels where the same style continues along the boundary.
The timber is pressure treated for outdoor use and has a green/natural treatment colour, sawn finish and overall depth of 50mm. Pressure treatment helps protect against rot, fungal decay and insect attack. Green/natural treated timber can show variation in colour and grain, and the appearance will change naturally with exposure outdoors.
When replacing an existing gate, measure the actual opening and also consider the space occupied by the hinges and latch. A 900mm-wide gate does not mean the posts should automatically be 900mm apart. For a new installation, set suitable gate posts to suit the complete gate and hardware arrangement, keeping them plumb so the low gate hangs evenly above the ground.
