The Perry Fence Panel Security Bracket is an additional fixing intended to make a compatible fence panel harder to lift out of position. It is useful where a removable panel could otherwise be raised from its normal supports, such as on accessible side boundaries or other parts of a garden where extra retention is wanted.
This bracket is an added security component, not a replacement for the normal fixings and structural support used to install the fence. The fence panel should already be correctly positioned and supported before the security bracket is added. Its job is to provide another restraint against upward movement.
Choose the fixing position carefully so the bracket can engage the panel without distorting its frame or interfering with nearby posts, rails or other hardware. Because fencing systems differ, check the actual panel and post arrangement before drilling. Use exterior fixings appropriate for the materials involved and make sure the bracket is fixed into sound timber or another suitable structural point.
