The Brown Pressure Treated 1.2m x 0.9m Round Top Picket Gate provides a taller pedestrian entrance while keeping the softer, curved profile of round top picket fencing. Manufactured by East Coast Fencing, the gate is 1.2m high and 900mm wide, making it useful where a boundary needs more visual height than the lower picket gates without changing to a solid privacy design.
Round top pales create a less pointed outline than the alternative point top style. At 1.2m high, that difference is quite noticeable across the finished boundary, so this gate is best selected to match the look of the surrounding fencing rather than simply by height. Suitable round top picket fence panels can continue the same profile either side of the entrance.
The timber has a brown pressure-treated finish, a sawn surface and an overall depth of 50mm. Pressure treatment helps protect the wood against rot, fungal decay and insect attack. The gate remains an exterior timber product, so natural grain, knots and gradual changes in appearance with weather exposure are normal characteristics rather than defects in the design.
Although this is the tallest round top picket gate in the brown range, the open spacing between pales means it does not provide the screening of a feather edge gate. Choose it for boundary definition and traditional appearance rather than privacy. The added height also makes accurate installation important: use adequately supported gate posts and allow the correct space for hinges and latch instead of setting the opening to exactly 900mm.
Before fitting, decide which way the gate will open and select ironmongery appropriate to the gate and post material. Our garden gate furniture range provides options for completing the installation. Lower round top sizes and point top alternatives can be compared within the wider picket gates range.
