The Brown Pressure Treated 0.9m x 0.9m Round Top Picket Gate is a medium-height timber gate for garden paths, front boundaries and internal garden divisions where an open picket style is preferred. At 900mm high and 900mm wide, it has balanced proportions that suit many pedestrian entrances, while the round top pales give the gate a softer appearance than the equivalent point top design.

Manufactured by East Coast Fencing, this gate is intended to sit naturally within traditional picket fencing rather than act as a privacy screen. The spacing between the pales keeps sight lines through the boundary and allows the gate to feel lighter than a solid-boarded design. Used with round top picket fence panels, it can create a consistent profile across the gate and adjoining fence.

The timber is pressure treated in brown to help protect it from rot, fungal decay and insect attack. It has a sawn finish and a 50mm overall depth. The sawn surface is part of the traditional fencing character, so natural grain, knots and slight surface variation should be expected rather than a furniture-grade smooth finish.

For installation, the important point is that the gate width and finished opening are not the same measurement. Space is needed for hinges, latch hardware and movement, so work from the requirements of the selected fittings before positioning the gate posts. If installing beside existing fencing, also check ground clearance and the direction the gate needs to open before deciding hinge positions.

This 0.9m gate is a good choice when a low 0.6m boundary does not provide enough visual definition but a 1.2m gate would be taller than necessary. Other sizes and top profiles are available within our picket gates range. Suitable hinges and latches can be selected separately from garden gate furniture.
