The Brown Pressure Treated 0.6m x 0.9m Round Top Picket Gate is a low garden gate with a softer rounded pale profile, designed for pathways and decorative boundaries where a tall gate would feel unnecessary. It is manufactured by East Coast Fencing from pressure-treated timber and measures 600mm high by 900mm wide, making it suitable for pedestrian openings in low picket fencing.

The round top design gives the gate a gentler outline than the point top version. That makes it a good match for informal front gardens, cottage-style planting and low internal garden divisions where the gate should define an entrance without looking severe. Because the pickets are spaced rather than forming a solid face, the gate maintains visibility across the boundary and does not provide the privacy of a feather edge or closeboard gate.

This brown-treated version has a sawn finish and a 50mm overall depth. Pressure treatment helps protect the timber against rot, fungal decay and insect attack, while the brown colour provides a warmer starting appearance alongside other brown-treated fencing. For a coordinated run, pair the gate with suitable picket fence panels using the same rounded style where required.

The 900mm measurement is the width of the gate itself, not a recommended post-to-post opening. Hinges and latch hardware need working space, so establish the required clearances before fixing the posts. Suitable gate posts should be installed upright and securely enough for regular opening and closing. Also check that the chosen hinges and latch are appropriate for a 50mm-deep timber gate.

Choose this 0.6m version when the purpose is access through a low, open boundary. If you need a taller gate while keeping the same traditional picket character, our picket gates range includes higher options. Hinges, latches and other fittings can be selected from the garden gate furniture range to suit the final installation.

Quick answer: Choose a feather edge garden gate when privacy and a solid traditional appearance are the priorities, a picket gate for an open front garden or internal boundary, and a double slatted..
