The Brown Pressure Treated 0.6m x 0.9m Point Top Picket Gate is a low timber pedestrian gate for decorative garden boundaries, paths and entrances where you want to mark the boundary without creating a tall or visually closed barrier. Manufactured by East Coast Fencing, it measures 600mm high and 900mm wide, with a traditional point top picket profile and an open-boarded design that allows views and light through the gate.
At only 0.6m high, this is primarily a low boundary gate. It works particularly well with similarly proportioned picket fence panels around front gardens, lawns and planted areas where maintaining an open feel is part of the design. The pointed pale tops give a sharper, more defined outline than the round top alternative, so the choice between the two styles is mainly about the appearance you want across the finished boundary.
The gate is made from pressure-treated timber with a brown finish, a sawn surface and an overall depth of 50mm. Pressure treatment helps protect the wood against rot, fungal decay and insect attack. The sawn finish is appropriate to traditional garden fencing but should not be expected to feel like planed joinery. Natural timber grain and surface variation remain part of the product.
Although the gate is 900mm wide, do not set the posts to a 900mm opening without allowing for the chosen hinges, latch and working clearance. Check the complete installation before positioning the gate posts.
