The Samac Brown Bolt Down Post Support for 75 x 75mm posts provides a surface fixing for a timber post where there is already a suitable hard base. Rather than digging a post hole and setting the timber into the ground, the support is anchored through its base plate and the 75 x 75mm post is held above the surface.
This 75mm version is intended for the smaller of the common square post sections in our wooden fence posts range. Check the post dimensions before ordering because the 75 x 75mm and 100 x 100mm supports are not interchangeable. A snug, correctly sized holder gives a much better starting point for keeping the post upright.
Bolt-down supports rely on the surface beneath them. Concrete or another suitable structural base needs to be sound, reasonably level and thick enough for the chosen anchors. Loose slabs, damaged concrete or decorative paving that is not securely supported may not provide an appropriate fixing. Use anchors selected for the actual substrate rather than assuming one fixing type suits every base.
The support has a brown protective finish to blend more naturally with timber. Set out the post line before drilling, check the support is square and then plumb the post as it is secured.
