We manufacture our traditional square trellis from pressure-treated 16 x 38mm rough-sawn timber battens. The battens form an open lattice with approximately 100mm square openings.
East Coast Fencing manufactures its traditional square trellis in-house from 16 x 38mm rough-sawn trellis battens. The timber is arranged into the familiar square lattice used throughout our traditional trellis range.
The openings are approximately 100mm square. That relatively open pattern is an important part of the specification and distinguishes traditional trellis from our closer privacy lattice.
The timber is pressure treated for exterior use and deliberately retains a fencing-grade rough-sawn finish. Customers should therefore expect visible timber texture, grain, knots and saw character rather than the smooth surface of planed joinery.
For example, our 1.83m x 0.6m Traditional Square Trellis Panel uses this 16 x 38mm construction and approximate 100mm lattice pattern. The same traditional pattern is available in a range of panel heights for different garden layouts.
