Our 46mm fence panel clip is specified for fixing a compatible timber fence panel to a wooden post. It should not be treated as a universal fitting for slotted concrete fence posts.
Our 46mm Fence Panel Clip is specifically intended for securing a compatible timber fence panel to a wooden fence post. It should not be treated as a universal fitting for concrete-post fencing.
The metal clip creates a defined fixing point between the timber panel edge and the wooden post. Its 46mm dimension relates to the panel edge it is intended to receive, which is why both the panel construction and post material need to be checked before selecting it.
Our concrete fence posts use a different system. Compatible fencing components locate within slots formed into the concrete post, with intermediate, end, corner and 3-way posts using different slot arrangements according to their position in the fence.
A fence panel clip designed to be screwed to timber therefore should not be assumed necessary or suitable simply because the same fence panel could also form part of a concrete-post installation.
This is an important distinction when replacing an existing fence. Check both sides of the bay: identify the panel edge that needs retaining and the type of post it is being fixed to. For timber-post fencing, the 46mm clip can provide the required panel-to-post connection where the panel dimensions are compatible. Other fittings are available under screws, fixings and fasteners.
